She achieved the Master degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Udine, Italy. Actually she is attending a research project with the title: "Safety characterization of critical or complex assets" within the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture (University of Udine).
Her research focuses on the rapid characterization of the safety level of strategic facilities and structures, taking into account also the essential functional needs and the opportunities and constraints of the context. This structures can be highly complex (e.g. hospitals and related technological equipment, networks utilities and lifelines), and could generate critical scenarios in case of natural events (e.g. earthquakes) or man-made accidents (e.g. fires). In particular, the research activities aim at the identification of the indicators that permit to outline an exhaustive and synthetic framework of the situation, in terms of safety and functionality.
