Fausto Barazza

Fausto BarazzaHe achived a master degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Udine (2004). Currently he is attending a research project with the title: “Decision support tools aimed at reducing the seismic risk of school buildings” within the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Environment (University of Udine, Italy).
His research focuses on the development of technical and scientific tools that simplify the strategies to reduce the seismic risk of school buildings in the region Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The reduction of seismic risk is not focused only on the structure but also on the system facilities, as highlighted by the recent publication of the “Ministro degli Interni” on the guidelines for the reduction of seismic vulnerability plant fire.

He has worked alongside the institutions of the National System of Civil Protection (National Fire Corps and Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia), providing scientific support as well as developing methodologies for the analysis and evaluation of emergency scenarios.
